Each month, more than 300 volunteers provide assistance at Gleaning For The World. They come from various community organizations, Boy and Girl Scout troops, churches and youth groups, and vary in age and background. But all of them have one thing in common: the desire to make a difference in the lives of hurting people.

Volunteers serve in many ways, including:

  • Sorting medical supplies
  • Repackaging donated product
  • Packing stuffed animals
  • Sorting and boxing new clothing and shoes
  • Answering the phone
  • Sending e-mails
  • Preparing mailings
    … and more.

These volunteers make it possible for GFTW to save thousands of dollars in staff time — savings we pass on to the humanitarian and mission organizations we serve.
